Elvis Nashilongo is a renowned figure within the Namibian retirement sector with over 18 years of
experience in pension fund administration and management. Nashilongo served as Chairman of the GIPF Employees Pension Fund (GEPF) for 6 years and continued to be a trustee on its Board. He also served as a Board member of the Retirement Funds Institute of Namibia (RFIN) which is an industry’s mouth piece and as well as an active player on matters of pension reforms. Being a business leader of note Mr Nashilongo also plays part in other industries and he is currently the Chairman of the Namibian Mobile Telecommunication Company (MTC.
On a full time basis he serves as General Manager of Operations at the Government Institutions Pension Fund (GIPF), a largest Fund in Namibia. His contribution to pension industry is enormous particularly in research and innovations. He is a two times winner of the IRFA Best Practice Award. Nashilongo holds Masters’ Degree in International Business (MIB), Executive Development Program (EDP), Diploma in Public Management, PR Management among other qualifications. He had made significant work in stakeholders’ engagement and members’ education. He had established credible and sufficient channels of communication and conducted a number of researches about members’ and pensioners’ needs.
