THE IRFA UPDATED STATEMENT ON COVID-19

How has COVID-19 affected our offering to the retirement sector?
15 May 2020

Dear Stakeholder

The Institute of Retirement Funds Africa remains committed to serving its membership base and the retirement sector during these unsettling times. We are monitoring the COVID-19 situation very closely and assessing the potential impact this may have on the sector.
Our destination remains and always will be the provision of world class service, programmes and information for the benefit of the sector and the members of retirement funds. Rest assured we will explore the best possible delivery mechanisms to achieve this.

The retirement industry, both in South Africa and north of our borders may rest assured we will not neglect our mandate.
Included in this thinking is our annual conference, the largest of its kind on the African continent. We are strongly aware of our obligation to ensure that all delegates, panelists, and speakers are safe.
Should it be necessary the conference will be postponed to later in the year for the benefit of all.

To quote Jimmy Dean: “I can’t change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.”
